ACTIVATED CARBON

Activated carbon is manufactured from carbonaceous or vegetable (e.g. coconut) source materials and it is activated either by being processed in high temperatures or by chemical process.

Due to its pore volume and its very large internal surface, it is characterized by a significant adsorption capacity. The adsorption occurs when molecules are attracted to and held onto the surface of the carbon by weak Van der Waals forces (physical adsorption) or chemical bonds (chemical adsorption).

Activated Carbon is used extensively in water and wastewater treatment for pollutants, residual chlorine and odor removal.

It can be found in several types such as powder, pellets, or in granular type.

Our company supplies different kinds of activated carbon. Please contact us for additional info.
